Wednesday Took a Tumble

Me dressed as Undead Wednesday Addams for a horror themed birthday party………in June.

On one particularly chilled afternoon, Wednesday Addams was bored as all can be and decided to take a stroll in the forest by herself as per usual. This time she went a different direction in hopes of possibly finding a toad she could use for a potion on Pugsley. As she was creeping around, Wednesday became particularly curious about this noise coming from below the mountain cliffs. She stepped closer, holding onto a tree for grip so she can hear more clearly. But then… a stubborn rock decided to release itself from her support and caused her to take a tumble. What did that rock have against Wednesday?

Waiting for her at the bottom of the cliff was a lonely, sobbing zombie…. with no crew or clique of fellow zombies to keep company. The zombie would do anything right now to have a companion. When you turn into a zombie the emotions you feel don’t go away, they just become more irregular and unpredictable. On top of that you have no way of expressing yourself except for the occasional moan & groan. Experiencing all these complex zombified changes all by yourself can really begin to eat at you.

The sound of Wednesday’s body flopping to the ground interrupted the zombie’s crying - *plunk*. She was still alive but not conscious. The zombie became curious similar to Wednesday just moments ago, slowly dragged itself over to check out the scene. “….Fr…ie nd…” the zombie mustered. It was forever searching for a word to describe this want. It knew what it had to do. Besides, what is a moral compass to a zombie anyhow? The zombie decided to turn Wednesday Addams into what he had become. Wednesday never found out what that curious noise was…..

FIN ?

Conspiracy: Perhaps it was the zombies plan all along to turn Wednesday. Maybe the zombie’s bellowing weeps were the mysterious noise she heard from up above. Maybe this is how the zombie always finds new friends….new food. But where do they all go after?

Author Notes: This is the first time I’ve written anything fiction since high school, so this was really fun and unexpected! It started off as a silly Instagram caption but I knew I had to build more.
