Strawberry “Cow-pico” Farm

As I’ve been getting more comfortable in the kitchen with my meals, I figured why not have some fun with my beverages! One drink that’s been delightfully versatile is Calpico. Which may or may not be news to others, so let me have my fun. To be quite honest, I’m not the biggest fan of strawberry Calpico by itself, so I’m MORE than pleased with my two little creations. I’ve added a recipe & ingredient list if you'd like to try for yourself!

Strawberry Calpico + Strawberry Soju -

This one came about because I was hanging out with a special friend and I wanted to be a lil spontaneous by making cocktails. In my heart of hearts, the true inspiration was from this Tiktok trend of people going to their local corner store & buying these cute “cocktail bags”. Typically a reusable clear bag with a mini bottle of alcohol, a mini can of juice/soda and maybe some candy. Anywho, that’s how we ended up here.

  • Strawberry Soju; 12.5 oz. bottle

  • Strawberry Calpico; 3 oz. minis

  • Ice cubes

Since this was my first time mixing Calpico with alcohol, I had no idea what I was doing. I was a tad nervous because I was making this for someone else & I think they could sense the nerves because they said something along the lines of “Don't be scared, I’m sure it’s gonna be great”. So I carried on and giggled my way through it. (Did I mention I downed half a Midori Sour before this?) I mixed 6 oz. of strawberry Soju with 3 oz. of strawberry Calpico, added only a couple ice cubes and swooshed it around. Once I tried my first sip, I threw my head back and “Hyucked” like Goofy. I knew it was perfect.

First off if you’re gonna try this one, take a picture and send it to me. Secondly, have fun & play with these portions as you please! You may want more Calpico than I did. I liked my proportions because it tasted like a strawberry starburst (my taste tester agreed). I really enjoyed this combo because the alcohol taste wasn’t overpowering, not one bit. Trust I’ll be making this again very soon.

Strawberry Calpico + Blueberry Redbull

I try not to buy more ingredients if I don't need to, so luckily I had some leftover Caplico from my other strawberry concoction. All I needed to do was pick up a Redbull from my corner store, easy peasy. The walk was quite nice with the shining sun & big puffy clouds. What a gorgeous day.

Once I got home I kinda got into it guys……it was exciting to make myself something fun & at home for under $3. I pulled out the largest clear glass I could find, whipped out my ingredients, and propped my phone up? Yes, I decided to share this moment with my instagram story because I had to share the fun. This was either gonna be a mega flop or was gonna absolutely slap. It was the latter.

  • Blueberry Redbull; 12 oz. can

  • Strawberry Calpico; 16 oz. bottle

  • Ice cubes

If you’d like to try, here’s what I did - I mixed about 10 oz. of Blueberry Redbull with roughly 12 oz. of strawberry Calpico, poured over ice cubes & stirred with a straw. I let my mom have a sip and she said “I would definitely drink that again” which means a lot coming from that picky Gemini. It was reminiscent of a Pink Drink with a slight bubbly blueberry fizz. Overall 10/10.

One adjustment I might try is swapping the 12 oz. can for 8.4 oz because I personally didn’t need that much caffeine to begin with. As a part-two, I’d like to try this with the Coconut Berry Redbull and a regular Calpico. Something about the colors & the flavors, I have a feeling it’s gonna blow my little mind.

Someone commented saying I reminded them of Mixie & Munchie of @2girls1bottl3 on Tiktok and I felt validated for all my efforts.

I had a blast & just might compile a mini menu of my favorite Calpico blends. I’ve made other mixed drinks in the past so I’ll continue to document these lil moments.
